“When I was asked to write about all the work that Ngiam has done over the years I've known them, I was afraid because no real words I could come up with would be enough to fully describe what he has done and what he has achieved. On one side, my perfectionist side, spent what seemed like a very long time struggling to find the words, so I decided to just come out with the words that come to me as I write this.

Ngiam is an excellent musician, and an even better friend. It's been clear pretty much since the start that there wouldn't be anyone else better suited to his role in making music for our games even amongst all of the many wonderful musicians we both know in the professional and hobbyist spaces.

He produces the soundtracks for our games quickly and promptly, and with quality and enthusiasm. His work on the music was executed wonderfully as well, not just with the songs themselves but with an emphasis on communication and perfecting the songs over a period of time, similar to that of a blacksmith ironing out flaws in a sword.

We have an established workflow that works perfectly for us and for the projects, and (he) is not afraid of putting in extra time and effort into the craft even when it seems like he's busy; he always comes around.

It isn't just the music that he's good at (even though this might be heavily skewed towards music as is his main role) but he's also very talented in many aspects of game development, whether it's writing the story and lore or coming up with ideas and concepts for games.

He's very proactive, always ready and is always heavily invested in all of the projects, and this kind of commitment really reflects on the other members of the team and in the games themselves.”
