Short Film:
“Working with Ngiam has been a pleasure as he easily is able to translate my wants for the soundtrack of the film. He is easy to work with as he knows how to take the musical inspirations I have given to him and translate it into something that fits the unique tone of the film. He is able to capture the essence of the film and turn it into a beautiful musical rendition. He also gave us a lot of options and variations to choose from, even going as far as to create pieces for different segments of the film. The final music soundtrack of the film turned out to be hauntingly barebones yet serene, with the melody stringing the narrative of the film along to its open-ended conclusion. It did not distract from it, and instead it helped enhance the feelings and tone of the film. One could tell that there was much thought and emotion put into the composition of the music, even if it was a simple & slow-paced piece.”

“Working with Ngiam, our film's documentary music composer, has been an incredibly collaborative and enriching experience. From our initial discussions, Ngiam demonstrated a remarkable ability to grasp the nuanced emotional core of our story, translating abstract ideas into powerful sonic landscapes. His creative input has been invaluable, as he not only delivers beautifully crafted compositions but also challenges us to think more deeply about the aural storytelling possibilities. Ngiam's dedication, keen ear, and willingness to experiment have truly elevated the film, crafting a score that is both deeply moving and perfectly attuned to the documentary's narrative.”
